MMM | Another Octave

One Reflection, One Refraction, One Ripple. Clarity To-Go.

October 6, 2025

Welcome to the Monday Morning Mirror - your weekly pause for clarity.

Every week deserves a moment of clarity. The Monday Morning Mirror is a pause at the start of your week to see yourself more clearly, shift your angle of vision, and send forward a ripple of purposeful action.

Each issue includes three parts:

  • One Reflection — an original insight or story
  • One Refraction — a quote or perspective from another lens
  • One Ripple — a question or action to carry into your week

Simple, memorable, and consistent — delivered every Monday to help you reflect, reframe, and ripple forward with purpose.

REFLECTION

As a classically trained pianist, I have always marveled at the ocean of keys revealed when opening the fallboard — infinite possibilities at my fingertips.
Sometimes in dissonance, sometimes in harmony.

However, without action — without striking a key — only silence.

Life invites us not just to marvel at the possibilities,
but to place our fingers on the keys and play.

Today, and each day, I celebrate having another day to make music.

In music, an octave represents a set range of activity — a series of notes working together, building on each other.
At some point, that building invites us to move up the keyboard,
where we find that we ultimately return to the same note — only higher, fuller, more resonant.

So it is with life.
Each cycle brings us back to ourselves, but at a new vibration of understanding.

There’s a stillness in the turning — not the tick of a clock,
but the quiet current beneath all things.
Life doesn’t age; it expands.
Consciousness doesn’t count years; it measures awareness.

Some mornings arrive as invitations to see with fresh eyes —
a moment when thought pauses, recognizes its Source,
and breathes again through a higher key.

Today, I don’t celebrate time.
I honor the Law of Growth —
the quiet, orderly unfolding of what is into what can be.

I’m not older. I’m tuned.
Another octave, same song, clearer tone.

REFRACTION

“Our life is the expression of our thought.
The limit of our expression is the limit of our thought.”
— Thomas Troward

Troward’s reminder calls me — and all of us — to active creation.
Each thought struck with awareness becomes a note in the great composition of Life.
When we think expansively, we play expansively.
And when we play expansively, Life itself expands in return.

RIPPLE

Pause for a breath.
Listen inwardly.
Where might Life be inviting you to tune your own instrument —
not by effort, but by recognition?

Another octave awaits, already vibrating beneath the surface of your day.
